We extend a special thanks to Kelly Goodowens

Kelly "Mr. Depot" Goodowens has supervised the refurbishing of the Scottsboro Freight Depot for the past 5 years. Under his leadership we have had the original floors redone, display cabinets purchased, the interior and exterior painted, ADA access installed, climate control system installed, new sidewalk created to look old, and appropriate lighting provided. So much has been accomplished due to his hard work in obtaining grants and hiring and supervising workers that the Depot Museum is now open to the public on Fridays from 10 am to 2 pm. Without his tireless efforts and hard work, none of this would be possible. The Jackson County Historical Association has named the large display room in his honor to show our heartfelt appreciation.
